What to expect from your treatment . . .
A typical treatment session begins with an assessment for new clients, or a brief reassessment for returning clients, to help guide the most appropriate course of treatment for you on the day.
My approach is hands-on and practical, using a range of manual therapy techniques to address pain, movement restriction, and tissue dysfunction. While some techniques may involve firmer pressure where appropriate, treatment is always tailored to the individual and adjusted to comfort levels. Your consent and wellbeing are central to every session, and no techniques are performed without clear explanation and agreement.
It is normal to experience mild tenderness or temporary soreness following treatment, particularly when addressing sensitive or restricted tissues. This usually settles within a short period and will be discussed with you as part of your care.
I work with people experiencing musculoskeletal pain from a wide range of causes — including work-related strain, everyday activity, exercise, and sport. Where appropriate, treatment may be supported by simple movement or exercise advice to help maintain progress between sessions.
Techniques include, but are not limited to:
Sports massage / soft tissue
Fascial release
Joint articulations
HVTs (manipulations)
Dry needling
Cupping
Soft tissue release
Muscle energy techniques
Reciprocal inhibition
